National Milk Chocolate Day

Milk chocolate lovers today is your day to celebrate!

National Milk Chocolate Day is observed annually on 28 July.

Milk chocolate is made out of either powdered, liquid or condensed milk and are a key ingredient in all candy bars sold.

It is a popular ingredient used in baking, speciality coffee drinks and hot chocolate.

Milk was sometimes used as an addition to chocolate beverages since the mid 17th century, but it was Daniel Peter who invented milk chocolate in 1875 when he mixed powdered milk (invented by Henri Nestlé) with chocolate liquor.

National Milk Chocolate Day was started by the National Confectioners Association.

Celebrate today by enjoying your favourite milk chocolate or making a delicious chocolate treat.

Post on social media using #NationalMilkChocolateDay.
