There are currently more than 400 active WiFi hotspots available in various locations across seven regions in Johannesburg.

If this is sounding too good to be true, you may be slightly correct. Each network user will be limited to 300MB of data per day for general use. WiFi users will have unlimited access to services via the free Maru A Jozi.

Here are three easy ways to connect to free WiFi hotspots:

  1.  Tap settings–WiFi on your device (make sure your WiFi is turned on)
  2.  Your device will search for available networks. Make sure you select an open network
  3.  Tap on the WiFi network you’d like to join, either CoJsmartwifi or AlwaysOn@Joburg_WiFi.

Once you get through these three simple steps, you will have free Internet access to use as you please.
