It all started with a massive crash as the strong winds and heavy rainfall caused a tree to fall on a house, creating serious damage. The incident occurred at the home of Braam Malherbe in Breaunanda just after 5pm yesterday. The tree fell halfway into his neighbour’s property, damaging the palisade fencing. The garage fascia boards and door were also damaged by the extreme weather conditions. However, Braam is happy that nobody was hurt during the incident.
“Nobody was hurt, just a bit shocked. The damage occurred before the heavy rains last night,” he said.
He will now assess the damage done to his home.
