Since the cold front is upon us, more people will be wishing they were in bed at home. Coffee will be the one thing keeping you warm and awake at the same time.
Here are some tips for you to spice up your coffee this winter and have something to look forward to besides going back to your bed.
- Add spices directly to the coffee grounds. Popular options for this method are cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and grated ginger. You can add cocoa powder for an easy take on a cafe mocha, or even cayenne pepper for some heat
- Swap your usual milk or cream with a different product. To get a little more creative with coffee, try adding a product such as rice milk, soy milk, or almond milk
- Use flavored syrups for your coffee. Use these syrups along with coffee and milk to create drinks such as vanilla or hazelnut lattes
- Add whipped cream to your coffee. This can easily replace the taste of your usual milk and sugar
- Mix your coffee with a liqueur such as Irish whiskey
- Heat and froth milk yourself
