Elderly man found murdered in Florida Hills
Man who went missing was found dead.
A 73-year-old man, Jose Mendonca, was found murdered this past Saturday afternoon.
This comes after he had gone missing on 22 July. According to Florida Police spokesperson Lydia Dikolomelo, police arrived at the Villa Montecarlo complex in Rainier Street in Florida Hills where neighbours were already gathering. They told police they had seen a trail of blood at the store room. They broke down the door and in a toilet in the store room they discovered Mendonca’s body face down in a puddle of blood.
Mendonca’s bakkie was missing.
Florida Police have opened a case of murder and robbery.
