67 minutes to make a difference for children with disabilities

Queen Butterfly Foundation spoiled for Mandela Day

Carpe Diem Kleuterskool and a team of Nedbank staff members spent their 67 minutes for Mandela Day (18 July) at the Queen Butterfly Foundation.

The foundation is a non-profit organisation which caters for children with mental and physical disabilities.

Activities for the day included paint and a lot of creativity, as staff members and children made butterflies of all shapes, sizes and colours. The butterflies made on the day will be used to make place-mats, which will be sold at the foundation’s next fundraiser on 6 August.

The founder and principal of the Queen Butterfly Foundation, Palesa Mofokeng said, “Just spending quality time with our special-needs kids brings a lot of joy into their lives. They love being involved in activities, surrounded by their young nursery school friends and we are always grateful to Annelize, principal of Carpe Diem Kleuterskool, for hosting these activities for our children”.
