Unplanned water interruptions this afternoon
Two areas will be affected.
According to Joburg Water, two areas in Roodepoort will be without water this afternoon.
The Waterval Pump Station is currently not operational due to electricity supply problems encountered this morning. This has affected the both the Quellerina and Waterval water towers, resulting in the interruption of normal supply to Quellerina and Bergbron.
Joburg Water’s Operations Team is still working on sourcing an alternative supply of power to the pump station. The estimated time of completion cannot be confirmed at this stage.
Joburg Water has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
