Four suspected terrorists arrested

JOHANNESBURG –Four suspects who were allegedly attempting to fly to Syria arrested on Saturday.

Four suspects have been arrested in connection with terrorism on 9 July after two house raids by the Hawks.

The two houses that were raided were located in Newclare and Azaadville.

According to reports Hawks spokesperson Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said that two of the four suspects will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on 11 July. The other two will appear in Kagiso Magistrates’ Court relating to charges of being in possession of firearms and explosives on the same day.

The suspects aged between 20 and 24 were allegedly attempting to fly to Syria.
