Crash leaves six injured

Six people, including three children, were injured on the evening of Friday, 1 July, after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a tree. The incident occurred on Eeufees Road near Florida Lake.

According to Netcare 911, three passengers sustained moderate to minor injuries while another two, one of them a child, were in a critical condition.

“Netcare 911 paramedics, and their extrication unit, worked alongside the Roodepoort Fire Department to free the last person, who was trapped in the vehicle,” said Netcare 911 spokesperson Athlende Mathe.

Netcare’s paramedics worked alongside various emergency services on scene to stabilise the injured before transporting them to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.

Police are still conducting investigations into the cause of the accident.
