Lions fans flock to pharmacy

Fans meet the Lions rugby players in Helderkruin.

Pharma Valu Pharmacy Helderkruin opened its doors at the Westways Shopping Centre in style on Sunday 4 July. With music playing in the background and the pharmacy’s mascot dancing, the atmosphere was festive. The community flocked to the pharmacy for a meet and greet with their favourite rugby players Xerox Golden Lions players Courtnall Skosan, Warren Whitely, Lionel Mapoe, Ruan Dreyer and Julian Redelinghuys. Fans lined up for a chance to chat to the players and have them sign their rugby memorabilia such as jerseys, T-shirts, balls, caps and posters.

The pharmacy is one of six in the Johannesburg area owned by former Golden Lions and Springbok rugby player Hannes Strydom and former Lions winger and centre Deon van Rensburg.

“This is how we want to introduce ourselves and the pharmacy to the community. We want people to come and visit us to experience our friendly service. We are competitive, cheap and are contracted to all medical aids. We are open seven days a week and do deliveries too,” said Strydom.

The pharmacy will provide clinic and baby clinic services as well as sport nutrition and sport performance equipment and advice.
