Book Ends in Discovery

Reading for charity

The charitable donations from the community have enabled Multi-Charity to open a second Book Ends shop, this time in Discovery.

The new charity bookshop, which is located at the Ansfrere Shopping Centre, had its official opening last weekend.

The bookshop sells various genres of books and the funds generated are shared between numerous local charities such as Westview Clinic, St Laurence’s Haven, Queen Butterfly and Ikholwa.

The original Multi-Charity bookshop is situated in Florida.

Averil Botha from Multi-Charity expressed her gratitude to the community for the donations and assistance they’ve given over the years. “The community has been so kind to us that our shop in Florida was splitting at the seams. So we just had to open up another charity shop. We have a large variety of books at low prices and we hope the community will support us just as they have before. We have been around for 20 years and we have worked very hard. That’s why we are so proud of what Multi-Charity has accomplished,” she said.
