Bastion’s water drive

Hoërskool Bastion's water collection drive a huge success

With much of the Free State still in the grip of a water crisis, Hoërskool Bastion staff and pupils decided to help. Together with parents and other local organisations such as West Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch, Lions Club – Wilro Park, and Redline Dynamics, the school went on a water collection drive for the battling province. With the help of the community who donated in their numbers, the school was able to collect hundreds of litres of water, making the drive a success. The school also collected numerous empty water bottles to donate. They then partnered with the Golden Lions Rugby Union, which also wished to get on board with the school’s initiative.

Water Shortage South Africa will transport the water to the areas in desperate need.
