Dios Los Ninos is more than skin deep

WILGEHEUWEL - The pupils of Dios Los Ninos visit Sci Bono to learn about the human body.

The grade 4 to 9 pupils of Dios Los Ninos School (DLN) visited the Sci-Bono Body World expo in Newtown.

“The pupils had a wonderful time looking at this magnificent exhibition of the human anatomy. It gave them huge insight to the inner workings of the human body. Learning is fun when pupils can move around, see something in action and experience it first hand. This is exactly what happens at the Body World Expo,” said principal Leonie de Kock.

There were also multiple places where learners had the opportunity to experience something practical, such as measuring their own blood pressure and moving in front of a body sensor that shows you exactly how your muscles work.

“Afterwards, we spent more time at Sci-Bono going through the main sections. They are filled with science experiments and pupils are allowed to touch everything. They had a blast. There is something for everyone including an interesting Math section. All I can say is that at the end of the day the pupils walked out of there knowing more than they did before. Their lives got enriched on that morning in Newtown,” De Kock added.
