Update: New rumours of father’s whereabouts

Police are circulating all information.

The hunt continues for 22-year-old Marthinus Pelser, who is wanted for questioning in connection with his baby boy’s death.

It is rumoured that Pelser might be on his way to Botswana. Although a rumour, Honeydew Police spokesperson Karen Jacobs said police are taking the rumour seriously, and have circulated the information. She also confirmed that Pelser has family in Swartruggens and in Rustenburg, but that they allegedly have not heard from him since his disappearance.

Pelser disappeared on Saturday night shortly after his six-month-old baby boy was found dead in his cot.
