Elvis in Roodepoort

Popular musician comes to the West Rand

After 2 enormously successful Afrikaans albums, South African musician Elvis Blue is set to kick off on a new adventure.

On his adventure, he’ll be stopping by AGS Arendshoogte in Little Falls for a fundraising performance.

Elvis has just released the first single off his soon to be released new English album, which he recorded while working with the South African Music Awards (Sama) nominated producer, Ewald Jansen Van Rensburg. Fans can look forward to a new and refreshing sound with this single, which is entitled The Tide.

The musician has been on an epic adventure since the release of his previous English album, the Sama-award winning Journey, in 2012.

Elvis followed this album with two platinum selling albums in his native tongue, the first aptly named Afrikaans, which won two Ghoemas and a Sama Award and became the first Afrikaans album to top the iTunes Store chart.

He followed this up with his second Afrikaans album called Êrens in die Middel van Nêrens, which broke the record for the most awards by an artist at the 2016 Ghoema Awards, walking away with a ground-breaking seven awards on the night, including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Music Video of the Year.

Elvis will be performing at the AGS Arendshoogte in Little Falls on Friday 10 June, at 8pm.
