Water wasted yet again

WELTEVREDEN PARK – Ward 126 Councillor, Mike Tonkin believes that thousands of litres of water just flows down the storm-water drain.

With the country experiencing a water shortage, water cannot be wasted.

Ward 126 Councillor, Mike Tonkin said that he is very concerned about the amount of water that is being wasted in Cockspur Road at the Cockspur Street Bridge. A storm water drain has clean drinking water gushing out of it with great concern to Councillor Tonkin.

According to DA candidate councillor for this area, David Brand, it hasn’t rained enough for the drain to have water flowing the way it is. Tonkin said that he would like to know where this water comes from as it could be something out of the ordinary.

Johannesburg Water was contacted and comment is still being awaited on this matter.
