24 Seven Trampoline Club and Laerskool Dr Havinga’s Caela Truter was all smiles when she won a gold medal.
She was participating in the Mini-Trampoline and Blacktop Trampoline competition.
The event was held at Gimfinity in Benoni last month (14 May).
The Laerskool Dr Havinga pupil who is also a skilled netball player, won a gold medal in the U/11 Blacktop Trampoline event.
She described her first place finish as exciting and awesome.
“I’ve been with the trampoline club from the very beginning and it’s a fun sport to be a part of. I love to jump high and do my routines,” she said.
The grade 5 pupil has her father to look up to as inspiration. Arthur Truter is a former gymnast for the South Transvaal.
