The police have made a major breakthrough in the murder of Ruimsig Re/Max real estate agent, Hanle Lategan.
Captain Appel Ernst, West Rand Cluster spokesperson confirmed on 3 June that a 29-year-old male suspect was arrested last night in Krugersdorp after a team of investigators were assigned to the case as well as two other murders in Krugersdorp.
“This arrest is a result of numerous hours of intensive investigations into the murder cases during the last four days,” said Ernst. She added that it is expected that the suspect will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ court on 6 June.
“The team of investigators is still working around the clock to secure other arrests,” added Ernst.
The West Rand Cluster Commander, Major General Anna Mateisi expressed her satisfaction with the result.
“The Krugersdorp community can rest assured that these cases are of top priority,” said Maj Gen Mateisi.
