Annual market for Gateway
RUIMSIG – Community comes out in their masses to support annual Winter Market.
The Gateway Society hosted their annual market. The market brought pleasant weather, a throng of supporters, many creative and interesting items produced by market entrepreneurs and food to ensure that no one goes hungry.
On 28 May, people had a chance to visit the Gateway society for this very special day. According to Moira Short, fundraising manager of the Gateway society, singer and entertainer, Helen Lang and belly dancers from Gypsy Rhythms provided entertainment.
“All proceeds from the market will go towards our beneficiaries in order that they receive the necessary support they are entitled to, and for them to continue living a happy and dignified life,” said Short.
Short thanked the community for their never-ending care and support. “We would never have experienced such a successful outcome if it were not for them. The Gateway Society salutes you,” concluded Short.
The Gateway Society provides a home as well as a school for people with mental and physical disabilities.
