Colleague pays tribute to murdered agent

RUIMSIG – Colleagues and friends will always remember, Hanle Lategan as the person who could always make you laugh.

Estate agent, from Ruimsig Re/Max Masters, Hanle Lategan’s body was found on 31 May in a veld in Randfontein after she went missing the previous day.

It is believed that she was on her way to show a house to potential buyers when she vanished. Colleagues of Lategan were distraught and wished to pay tribute to her. Friend and colleague, Suzette von Benecke described Lategan as the woman with the pretty and open face with the distinctive hairstyle. “Our colleague, your chair is empty, but your positive zest for life will be carried in our hearts forever,” said Von Benecke.

She added that the people who knew Lategan would know that the tribute was true about who she was. “You only had to be two minutes in conversation with her to know that you like her. If you had a bad day, she would be the one that would make you laugh,” said Von Benecke. She further described her as a party animal and a person with loads of energy and a love of life.

“She was someone with a big heart and always willing to help. Hanle, we will miss you forever,” concluded Von Benecke.
