CKPS soccer boys head to nationals

Soccer boys heading to KZN

Hard work pays off are the sentiments of Omphemetse Mkhuzo, Thabo Moyo and Babulele Faku.

After going through round after round of the U/13 District 12 (D12) Soccer trials, these Constantia Kloof Primary School pupils made the grade.

They were selected to be part of the team earlier this month.

Their coach and teacher Neelavani Pillay and D12 team manager Deon Moyce were beaming with pride at how successful the pupils were in the trials.

“I coach the school’s soccer team so to see a few of the players representing the district and their school is great. They taken the skills they’ve learnt in the team and applied it further,” said Pillay.

Mkhuzo, Moyo and Babulele will now be working hard to make sure they are in top shape.

They, along with the D12 team will head off to KwaZulu Natal and participate in the national soccer tournament.

It will take place during the July school holidays.
