A 34-year-old man was arrested for possesion of drugs this past Monday.
At about 9am members of Florida Crime Prevention unit were patrolling around Florida area when they noticed a the man getting out of a bakkie in Hull Street. When the suspect saw the Police he turned around and walked around the bakkie in order to avoid the Police. They stopped him and he tried to run away but they managed to catch him.
The police members found small cream plastic packets containing white powder, suspected to be drugs, behind his bakkie on the ground
The suspect was arrested and detained at Florida Police Station.
