The Honour Wrestling Association will host a wrestling tournament on 30 July to raise funds for the Bright family.
Last month the family fell victim to a hijacking, which led to an accident. At present the mother, Marilize, is undergoing extensive rehabilitation.
According to tournament organiser Steve van Eden, who wrestles under the name Steve Eden, various stars of the local wrestling fraternity will be appearing, including Exterminator, Two Face, Thierry Midoux and Zizou Midoux. The event will be held at Laerskool Horison in Kite Street. It starts a 6pm and entrance is R20. Snacks and cool drinks will be available at the school’s tuck shop. All proceeds will go to the family and a signed Blue Bulls rugby ball will be raffled.
