Yesterday (10 May) at about 5.15pm, Netcare911 paramedics responded to a shooting on Albertina Sisulu Road close to Maraisburg.
Reports indicate that there was an attempted robbery at the Breadbin.
When Netcare911 paramedics and other services arrived on scene, two people already died from the gunshot wounds they had sustained. Paramedics declared both men dead on the scene.
One person was believed to be a suspect and the other a security guard.
Paramedics also found that four people had sustained gunshot wounds – two men were in a critical condition and another two sustained moderate injuries.
Netcare911 paramedics worked alongside other services to stabilise the wounded men on scene before transporting them to various hospitals in the area for further medical care.
The two suspects who were in a critical condition were transported to a nearby hospital under heavy police guard.
Police are investigating the matter.
