Power interruption to affect 13 suburbs
Interruption essential for maintenance work to be completed, says City Power.
Thirteen suburbs, including Roodekrans, are to be affected by a planned power interruption later in May.
According to City Power, the outage is absolutely necessary to allow their teams to do essential maintenance on the network. This is how they ensure better, uninterrupted service, the entity said in a statement.
The outage comes into affect on Wednesday 25 May at 11pm and electricity supply should return to normal by Thursday 26 May at 6am.
“As the supply may be restored at any time, customers are urged to treat their electricity supply points as live at all times,” the statement read.
“City Power regrets any inconvenience caused by the outage.”

• Weltevreden Park
• Constantia Kloof
• Ontdekkers Park
• Discovery
• Honeydew
• Laser Park
• Wilgeheuwel
• Strubens Valley
• Amarosa
• Ruimsig
• Helderkruin
• Roodekrans
• Horizon View
