Meteor shower: Make a wish tomorrow morning

The shower will be clearer in the southern hemisphere .

Avid stargazers should keep an eye on the sky early tomorrow morning.

In the predawn hours the eta Aquariids meteor shower will be visible to the naked eye. To watch it, look east near the constellation of Aquarius.

This spectacle starts late in April each year and continues until around 20 May with meteor showers visible just about every night. It peaks between 5 May and 7 May though.

The shower is the debris of Halley’s comet and during this period it hits Earth’s atmosphere as we pass through it. Halley’s comet will be visible from Earth again in the 2060s.
