Florida power cuts being tended to

Power cuts resulted in traffic congestion and a lot of frustration this morning.

Residents have been experiencing loss of power in Florida and surrounds since early this morning, but City Power is on it, according to Yumna Sheik.

Sheik, spokesperson for City Power, told the Record the first of the complaints were received at 6.30am this morning at the Nursery substation, where a cable feeder apparently tripped. Other affected areas are said to include White Ridge, Discovery, Delarey, Florida Hills and Florida North.

Sheik confirmed that a maintenance team has already been dispatched to attend to the situation this morning.

As a result of the power outage, many residents experienced traffic congestion while travelling to work this morning.
