The discipline of choral training ensures that boys learn highly specialised skills from every musical era and genre. Boys develop exceptional leadership skills, discipline and self-confidence.

DBCS accepts boys from Grade 4 and goes up to Grade 9. Many boys are offered bursaries for their Grade 10, 11 and 12 years as they are mature.

The boys travel extensively. At leaser twice a year nationally and once a year internationally.

Ten academic teachers and eight music teachers plus boarding, administrative and catering staff look after a hundred and twenty boys. This ensures individual attention in all areas.

The boys experience living life at the fullest. They are exposed to nature and participate in hikes, tubing and spending time together around a campfire.
