Roodepoort Police Station is urging the public to make use of their Victim Empowerment Department, says Police spokesperson Nonhlanhla Khumalo.
The responsibility of this office is to offer trauma support to victims of crimes such as house robbery and hijacking as well as counselling for domestic violence victims. They will also refer victims to different stakeholders, such as Child Welfare, shelters, courts and the Department of Social Development, as per the victim’s needs.
This office is open from 9am to 3.30pm from Monday to Friday.
