22 years ago today saw the manifestation of what the world believed was a political miracle – the first free democracy of the Republic of South Africa.
Nelson Mandela was hailed as a modern day messiah, South Africa’s sports teams were reigning supreme and the Rainbow Nation had the world at it’s feet.
Fast forward 22 years. Julius Malema of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is threatening with civil war, the President’s antics has become all but farcical, the economy is teetering on junk status and the country is more divided than ever.
