Ten injured last night in taxi accident

Ten people were injured last night when the taxi they were travelling in overturned on Main Reef Road in Robertsville.

ER24 paramedics swiftly arrived on scene and found the majority of the patients were walking around on the scene.

One patient was found lying near the overturned taxi.

“Paramedics assisted the injured and treated them for injuries ranging from scrapes, bruises and soft tissue injuries,” said ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak.

The occupants were later transported to Leratong and Helen Joseph Hospitals respectively.

The exact cause for the taxi to overturn is not yet known. It is believed that no other vehicles were involved in the collision.
