Documents back where they belong

Good people are still out there

Jean van Nikkelen Kyper is a relieved man after important documents were returned to him.

He had lost his passport and international driving permit after criminals broke into his car and stole his laptop which contained the documents.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday earlier this month at his home in Breaunanda.

“It was around about 6am and I had just woken up. I heard the window of the car breaking and I went to go check what was happening. My laptop bag and the laptop it was in were gone. My travel documents were also there but there are still other documents missing,” he said Jean.

The passport and driving permit was picked up by Ntsime Letsholo between CR Swart and Presidents Road near Westgate Park.

He is one of the men who stand there looking for employment.

“I figured the person who lost these documents really needed them. Given where it was, I thought it was one of these construction site managers who came to pick up workers and accidentally dropped them,” said Ntsime.

After finding the documents, Ntsime then visited the Record offices where Jean was tracked down and alerted.
