Hirsch’s trains domestics

STRUBEN'S VALLEY – Hirsch's holds an insightful domestic training course that motivated those in attendance.

Hirsch’s Struben’s Valley hosted a domestic training course that helped domestics understand appliances even more.

The domestic workers were invited to attend this training course as it would equip them with the knowledge of various household appliances and how to use them correctly, clean them and store them.

Hirsch’s Struben’s Valley public relations officer, Raquel Holdsworth said that many tips and tricks for cleaning around the house were also mentioned. “They [the domestics] were shown which chemicals cause damage to some appliances and advised on which were the correct cleaning chemicals coupled with methods on how to use them,” said Holdsworth.

The domestic training sessions are held once a month and are open to all domestic workers. Holdsworth explained that everyone who attends the course is given a certificate of attendance at the end of every schedule.

Holdsworth added that Hirsch’s are also looking for the ‘Domestic Worker of the Month’. Monthly winners each receive a R300 Hirsch’s gift voucher and certificate.
