21 children injured when minibus rolls

Cause of accident unclear.

21 children have been injured this morning when their minibus rolled and crashed through a fence on Mare Street in Roodepoort CBD.

ER24 paramedics along with other services found the minibus on the side of the road. Most of the occupants were outside the vehicle.

Paramedics assessed the children, believed to be aged between 6 and 12, and found they had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported on the scene.

They treated those injured and transported them to various hospitals in the area, including Leratong and Helen Joseph

Hospitals.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
