Debate motion to be tabled regarding #ZumaMustFall

DA wants ANC Gauteng to 'walk the talk', back them in condemning President Jacob Zuma.

Happy the ANC Gauteng has taken the road less traveled in their party and joined the call for President Jacob Zuma to resign, the DA wants to see even more commitment.

In a press release, member of provincial legislature (MPL) and the DA’s provincial leader for Gauteng, John Moodey called Premier David Makhura out on making an about-turn in terms of his stance on e-tolls in late 2014, vowing not to let him get away with empty promises again.

“Gauteng’s people have been down this road before, only to have their hopes dashed,” Moodey in his statement said.

To that end, the DA plans on tabling a motion to debate a matter of urgent public importance during the Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s next sitting on 26 April. Here they hope to all resolve in condemning President Jacob Zuma’s actions and calling on him to resign.

“The outcome of this will show how serious the Gauteng ANC is about defending South Africa’s Constitution,” he said.
