Trinity House pupils excel at Talent Africa

Youth show off at Talent Africa

Three pupils from Trinity House Little Falls earned themselves plenty of awards at the South African Nationals Talent Africa (SANTA).

The event was held at the Roodepoort Theatre’s Pro-Musica Auditorium from the 21 to 26 March.

Their stage performances secured them selection as part of Team South Africa SA to America to participate in the International round of the competition at Talent America during June representing South Africa.

These pupils were awarded their Gauteng colours for representing the province and SA colours for the upcoming trip to New York as well as certificates and medals. Grade two pupil Suzanne Hartzer won four gold medals and two silver medals.

Grade five pupil Zia Hartzer won nine gold medals and one silver medal.

She also came sixth overall the top 10 performers from all participants in Acting, Dancing, Vocals, Instrumental and Modelling in the age category 4 to 12.

Suzanne and Zia were also part of a group who won the Overall Best Junior Group.

Grade nine pupil Stuart Gafney won one gold medal, one silver medal and one bronze medal.

These three pupils represented Linda Theron Drama Studio.

Overall the studio qualified at Gauteng Regional with 32 pupils who all qualified for their SA colours to compete New York.

The studio won 142 Gold, 50 Silver and 29 Bronze, various trophies, overall awards as well as the Overall Drama School.
