Honeydew Police urges the public to come forward with any information pertaining to the rape and murder of Brenda Ruvando.
Ruvando’s body was found on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter and Cascades road on 25 March.
Rumours have since spread that a man was arrested in connection with this incident.
Honeydew SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs said, “A 29-year-old male was taken in for questioning regarding the murder but could not be linked and was therefore not arrested.”
Currently no suspect has been arrested for the murder and the investigating officer is requesting anyone with information to make contact with him.
