A serial rapist who raped a Roodepoort woman in 2008 has finally been caught in the Free State.
Alfred Motsami who was convicted in 2008 for the rape and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment but was granted bail pending his appeal. When the the High Court overturned his bail and order him to be arrested in 2010 he went on the run. Motsami then proceeded to rape five more women from 2011 to 2013, all of them in Ekhureleni. Four of the women he also kidnapped.
The 35-year-old suspect has been charged for nine counts of rape because of the different sexual acts he performed on his victims. He has also been charged with four counts of kidnapping.
