Breaking: ‘Black Audi’ gang arrested

Believed to have been on their way to rob Spar.

The so-called ‘Black Audi’ gang believed to have been involved in multiple armed robberies as well as the murder of a 68-year-old pensioner, has been arrested at around 11am this morning.

Harry Dunn of Dunmar Security, whose patrollers arrested the suspects, said they received information from the Florida Park Neighbourhood Watch (FPNW) to be on the outlook for the vehicle after reading reports about it on the Record’s website. One of their clients contacted the Dunmar Security patrollers and told them the black Audi had been spotted at Kilburn Spar.

Two of the suspects allegedly got out of the back of the vehicle but left the doors open. Then the patrollers pounced on them and arrested four males and a female. “We believe they were about to rob the Spar,” said Dunn.

The five suspects were handed over to the Flying Squad.
