VIDEO: Did ‘Black Audi’ killers strike twice in one night?

One man shot dead in second incident this morning.

At around 7.30pm last night a pensioner Vic Farrell, his wife, 68, and grandson, Chris de Witt, were watching television in the cottage on Farrell’s son’s property in Andries Pretorius Street when they heard blood-curling screams from the main house.

Unbeknownst to them five armed robbers had entered the main house and held the son and his friend, who also were watching television, at gunpoint in the living room. When the suspects found the son’s girlfriend in the kitchen they assaulted her. Her screams alarmed Farrell and he stormed out but when he saw the suspects in the house he fled back into the cottage. Meanwhile De Witt stormed out and the supects panicked and fled in a black Audi A3.

Later, at around midnight, Mindalore resident Casper van der Westhuizen, 68, was murdered during an armed robbery in Pannell Street. Van der Westhuizen was shot dead when he tried to prevent his wife from investigating after hearing a loud noise that woke them, Krugersdorp News reported.

His wife, Isabella, said she did not get a good look at the armed robbers but saw them flee in a black Audi A3.

Police allegedly have been searching for a black Audi prior to the two incidents.
