Ghost Riders rev up Baby Moses

The bikers came together to paint the home, clean the pool, work in the garden

The bikers of Ghost Riders along with Speed Freaks put down their bikes for a good cause this weekend.

The bikers from the Ghost Riders South Chapter, Thabazimbi chapter, East Rand chapter as well as Vaal chapter paid Helderkruins’ Baby Moses Sanctuary a visit.

Clad in some overalls and ready to work, the bikers came together to paint the home, clean the pool, work in the garden and lay the foundation for a car port.

Ghost Riders south chapter’s president Jan Botha said they decided to do more for Baby Moses after keeping in touch with them and hearing what was needed.

“The home is always in need of a few things. We wanted to come here to support the home with their needs and offer to help where it was. It is nice to see the children happy with their goodies while we paint the house, clean the pool so they can enjoy it while it’s still summer and to have a new car port in the year,” he said.

Some of the bikers including Speed Freaks member James Britz who is a local boxer at Witpoortjie Vikings Boxing Club helped at the Krugersorp’s Baby Moses where they helped with the garden and fixing other utilities around the house.

The south chapter and vaal chapters donated R500 and R400 respectively while the East Rand and Thabazimbi chapters brought paint, toys and clothing. The bikers also brought a cake to celebrate the birthdays of the children who’s birthdays were in the last two months.

We will try to do this every month as this is a worthy cause to champion.
