ANC member allegedly points gun at DA campaigner

"You disgust me," said ANC member.

An aspirant DA candidate Faith Dabhula allegedly had a gun pointed at her by an ANC member, said PR councillor for Wards 127 and 128, Botshelo Moloisane.

Dabhula and her colleagues were campaigning door to door in Tshepisong this morning (23 February) when the incident took place. According to Dabhula while they were approaching a house the armed occupant came out and pointed a gun at her. The man then shouted at them “do not come close to my house with your DA members or I’ll shoot. Your DA T-shirts disgust me.” Dabhula said although she did not know the man’s name she would be able to identify him.

Moloisane and Dabhula went to Kagiso Police Station to open a case of pointing a firearm.

Neither the ANC councillor for the area nor DA campaign manager Gert Niemand could be reached for comment.
