Man stabbed to death in Little Falls

LITTLE FALLS – Two arrested suspects will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates' Court on 23 February.

A man was stabbed to death at the entrance of Pick n Pay shopping centre at Hendrik Potgieter Road in Little Falls on the evening of 21 February at around 6pm.

The victim was allegedly stabbed by three unknown men during an alleged scuffle between friends and work colleagues.

Two of the three suspects were later arrested at around 8.40 pm when a security guard from BCI Security Company noticed suspicious men running through the bushes.

He then reported the incident to his security control room and the controller immediately dispatched the armed response vehicle.

Two of the three suspects were arrested by BCI security guards at another business a few kilometers away from where they had allegedly committed the crime.

“The SAPS detective with an eyewitness confirmed that the two men who were arrested were involved in the murder at Pick n Pay earlier the evening,” explained Corinda Loots from BCI Security Company.

Honeydew Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs confirmed the incident and explained that the murder was being investigated by the Honeydew Detective Services.

She explained that the arrested suspects, aged 24 and 26, would appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court on 23 February.

“The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation,” she said.
