Get thinking!

Your stomach thinks all potatoes are mashed.

Napoleon Hill said that whatever the mind can conceive, it can achieve. What original idea will you have this World Thinking Day on 22 February?

Thinking and especially original thought is vital to development and is part of what makes us human. Here are some interesting facts that will get you thinking:

1.Asking someone “where are you” is a recent thing. Before cell phones or the internet was invented we could only talk to people if we knew where they were.

2. Your stomach thinks all potatoes are mashed.

3. If you see a bald eagle in the zoo, you will be seeing the American symbol of freedom in captivity.

4. If you did something “like a boss” you’d probably just pay someone else to do it.

5. The only time “incorrectly” isn’t spelled incorrectly is when it’s spelled incorrectly.

6. You’ve already visited some places for the last time. You’ll also be the last person to die in your lifetime.

7. Centaurs, the half human half horse creations, have two rib cages.

8. We will never hear about the truly perfect crime unless we committed it.

9. Unless you are famous or extremely popular twitter is like talking to yourself in a crowded room.

10. The iconic alien is to us as we are to apes: small, pale and big-headed with unfathomable technology. We even abduct them for experiments.

What else gets you thinking?
