Planned water interruption in Wilgeheuwel and Poortview

WILGEHEUWEL – Joburg Water's planned service interruption will affect the streets of Wilgeheuwel and Poortview from 8am to 5pm.

Joburg Water will implement planned service interruptions for maintenance in Wilgeheuwel and Poortview on 18 February.

All the streets within the suburbs will be affected from 8am to 5pm and restoration is expected to take place between 5pm and 6pm the same day.

External communications officer Eleanor Mavimbela said that the entity will be working on the existing water main.

She further stated that water supply across the City of Joburg is normal, with reservoir levels across the city in a satisfactory position.

She said residents are reminded that level-2 water restrictions are still in place and must be adhered to.

Mavimbela urged residents to remain active partners in reducing the quantity of water used in the City of Joburg, and to report any form of vandalism and theft of water infrastructure to 080 000 2587.
