Parts of Roodepoort off for maintenance

Parts of Roodepoort will be affected by a planned power outage on Tuesday night 16 February so maintenance can be done.

City Power in a recent press release said residents in the specified areas can expect to be off the grid from 10pm on Tuesday night until 6am on Wednesday, 17 February. The entity called the outage part of their “program to of constantly striving to provide better service”.

They warned that residents should take care around electricity supply points and treat them as live at all times, as the supply may be restored at any time.

Affected areas include:

• Allen’s Nek AH

• Allen’s Nek Ext 2, 10, 12, 13, 17, 19, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27 and 47

• Constantia Kloof Ext 5, 8, 9, 11 and 12

• Noordekrans Ext 2

• Panorama AH Ext 1

• Weltevreden Park Ext 5, 12, 14, 29, 30, 32, 35, 39, 45, 46, 49, 66, 67, 73, 74, 80, 87, 102, 129.
