Four Chaplains Sunday is and interfaith remembrance day on 7 February. The day honours the four US army chaplains who gave their lives to save other civilian and military personnel when their troop ship sank in World War II. The chaplains reportedly joined hands and proceeded to pray and sing hymns as the ship went down. Four Chaplains Day celebrates these brave men world wide.

Transfiguration Day

This day celebrates the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ which was an event that took place in biblical times where Jesus transfigured and became radiant and glorified on a mountain. A voice from the sky, supposedly God, also called him “son”. The day is celebrated as it is the point where human nature meets God, with Jesus at the connecting point. Global Christian circles celebrate this day on 6 August and also every year on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday.
