You CanSurvive with this support group

Don't miss this monthly event.

Resident Kim Lucas would like to remind residents that they CanSurvive cancer and a support group exists to aid them in that.

The CanSurvive Cancer Support Group West Rand is held on the first Saturday of every month at Netcare Krugersdorp Hospital in Burger Street, Krugersdorp CBD. The meeting starts at 9am.

This month, the group’s guest speaker will be Jackie Smith, a narrative councillor, who will be talking about hope.

“We hope to hear how we can go about finding meaning and purpose in our lives, how we can change our mindsets when we’re stuck in life saturated by feelings of despondency and hopelessness,” Lucas ssaid.

Anyone that is affected by cancer is welcome. Not only patients but also their family, friends and care-givers can lend an ear and receive a message.

Meetings are free of charge and booking is not necessary.

For more information contact Kim Lucas on 082 880 1218.
