Woman airlifted to hospital

WELTEVREDEN PARK – Driver involved in the collision refused medical treatment.

A woman in her 30s, who was injured in a collision on 4 February, had to be airlifted to hospital for further medical care by the ER24 medical helicopter.

According to ER24 communications officer, “ER24 paramedics arrived on scene on Hendrik Potgieter Road near Albert Street, and found that a bakkie and car were involved in the collision.”

A woman was found in the car and upon assessment, it was established that she was in a critical condition.

She was treated and airlifted to hospital for further medical care.

The driver of the bakkie declined to be taken to hospital. The cause of the collision is unknown at this time while authorities at the scene conduct further investigations.
