A woman who was injured in a collision this morning had to be airlifted to hospital by the ER24 medical helicopter.
At the scene on Hendrik Potgieter Road near Albert Street, ER24 paramedics found that a bakkie and car had been involved in the collision.
A woman was in the car.
Upon assessing the woman, believed to be in her 30s, she was found to be in a critical condition.
She was treated and airlifted to hospital for further medical care.
The driver of the bakkie declined to be taken to hospital.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
